AQUIFER.--Mauch Chunk Formation of Early Pennsylvanianage. WELL CHARACTERISTICS.--Drilled observation artesianwell, diameter 6 in., depth 242 ft, cased to 40 ft, open hole. INSTRUMENTATION.--Data collection platform. Satellitetelemetry at station. DATUM.--Elevation of land surface is 1,290 ft abovesea level, from topographic map. Measuring point: Top of plywood shelf,2.8 ft above land-surface datum. Prior to June 26, 1980, top of casing2.3 ft above land-surface datum. REMARKS.--Daily maximum, minimum, and mean waterlevels since October 1994 are available from the District Office. PERIOD OF RECORD.--July 1975 to current year. COOPERATION.--Funding for the operation of thisstation is provided by the Pennsylvania Department of EnvironmentalProtection and the U.S. Geological Survey.
